Gateway to the Nations

Gateway to the Nations is a Christ centered children’s ministry. The main focus is not just to watch children while their parents experience God’s presence in the service. We endeavor to create an atmosphere where children can come, praise, and worship a living God. From our toddlers up to our 6th graders our morning begins with praise and worship followed by a time for giving. The children then break up into smaller age groups to continue their journey to learn more and more about becoming a faithful follower of Christ.

• Sunbeams (ages 1-3)

  Our “Sunbeams” use a curriculum that focuses on a different bible character or story each month. With a little help from “Beemer” our little puppet friend, the children are hands on with stories, songs, and a memory verse activity sheet.

• Beginning Explorers (ages 3-5)

  The “Beginning Explorers” allow our preschoolers to be adventurous while they venture through the bible led by “Sam” the storyteller. They also enjoy two fluffy raccoon puppets that help to tell them stories. Their bible verses are reviewed as they sing, listen to stories, and engage in various activities that reinforce the theme.

• Young Explorers (1st thru 6th graders)

  The older group called “Young Explorers” really stays focused on the lesson through discussion, group activities, and reviewing the bible verses. They also spend time preparing for their time in the sanctuary on the 5th Sundays. They are able to share the worship experience with their families, as well as present something that represents what they have learned about God.
